Client Laing O’Rourke
Contractor Laing O’Rourke
Contract Value £250,000
Project Type Maintenance and Defects
Following the demise of Lakesmere Deepdell, Laing O’Rourke, like most other contractors, were left with historic issues to address, without the technical backup of the original contractor. On their Elephant Road development this included broken glass, general defects and modifications to louvres and ventilation. All linked to the building handover and completion therefore retention release for our client.
We worked with the Lang O’Rourke team to establish the design information that was available (to their credit they had this well archived which is an unusual experience) and then carried out a survey to complete the missing information. Taking on the principal Contractor role we organised mobile cranes, lifting teams and BMU operatives to carry out these works including replacing about 20 panes of glass on the project.
